Kirk Tailor studied Tang Soo Do karate for about ten years beginning at around age 6. in 2004, after being away from martial arts for 8 years, his interest re-emerged and he began to check out kung fu schools in the area, which led him to Sifu Alex and the Leung Ting WingTsun system. After his introductory class, Kirk was impressed and intrigued by how practical and efficient the system is for real life self defense situations. He feels privileged being an Assistant Instructor for his Si-hings, Elliot and Wai, in the Norwalk branch of City WingTsun and now at the new CT WingTsun Stamford location.

In addition to wingtsun, Kirk also has a keen interest in eastern philosophy including meditation and yoga.

Kirk has lived in the Stamford/Norwalk area for the last 29 years, graduated from J.M. Wright Tech in 1998 with a degree in electronics, and for the past 10 years has been working in computer repair.  He hopes one day to move into the Sports Medicine/Physical Therapy field.
